ESTABLISHED IN CENTRAL VIRGINIA
A Legacy of Literary Fellowship
The Central Virginia Region of the Jane Austen Society of North America has gathered local admirers of Austen’s genius since 2014.
Â
Our region serves as a spirited extension of the national society, dedicated to appreciating Austen's wit, exploring the Regency era, and fostering a modern community where her timeless observations on human character still resonate deeply.
Fostering Connection Through Wit and Wisdom
Our mission is to foster a vibrant community where the timeless works of Jane Austen are explored with both historical appreciation and modern social relevance. We believe that Austen’s sharp wit and profound observations on human relationships remain as vital today as they were in the Regency era. By creating a welcoming space for discussion, events, and education, the Central Virginia chapter ensures that the joy of Austen’s literary world continues to inspire and connect readers across generations.
Regional Board Members
Our chapter is guided by a circle of dedicated volunteers who share an affection for Austen’s works.
These individuals ensure our regional group flourishes with grace, wit, and organized care.
